Nice B.C. collection on its way to China

http://driving.ca/buick/auto-news/news/collector-classics-beijing-bound

Many of us out west knew of this collection and a few of us have seen it but I thought some of the rest of the country may enjoy it as well.  Nice taste of a Pontiac dealer.

I guess in a year or so we will start to see Knock off Classics at a fraction of the price.

If guys aren't going to get at least cost of restoration for their cars in the Canadian market, sometimes a guy goes where the money is. I've contacted collectors from all over the place in Europe, they're very interested but would like finished cars. When the car I'm selling gets finished, it will go on a road trip, then sold out of country.

Exactly.

It's like when there were a couple of guys on this website that were complaining about Canadian-made cars going to the U.S. They were going where people would pay the price.

If Canadians won't pay up, then they will go where the market is.

Nice to see going in a Collection    they were never driven here anyway...

He's smart to see the stuff off while he's alive...

China is the home of Wal-Mart

North America is just a sub-division of China in their minds

Olds and Pontiac were dropped to concentrate on BUICK and CADDY

2 biggest sellers in China....

They have some major ownership of Canada NOW

2012

October

-China commits to a new $3-billion pipeline that would carry oil sands crude south. Phoenix Energy Holdings Ltd., the Canadian subsidiary of PetroChina Co. Ltd., partners with TransCanada Corp. to build a 900,000 barrel-a-day project, called the Grand Rapids Pipeline System, 500 kilometres from northwest of Fort McMurray to Fort Saskatchewan, near Edmonton.

I just answered my own question.......http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2013/10/18/china-classic-cars/3001091/

"The number of classic car collectors is growing in China despite the obstacles from a government that sees them

as dangerous and not efficient enough to let run on China's traffic-choked roadways."
