Question on Power Window Kits

I'm thinking of and will most likely put power windows in my 62 Beaumont convertible I have looked at a few different types but I am kind of leaning towards NU-RELICS for 63-67 Nova kit.

My question is has anyone here ever used this set in there car or know of anyone who has they are fairly costly by the time I get them delivered to my address in Kamloops with the difference in money, custom and brokerage charges.

It would be nice to have some feed back on this product from people that have them or know someone who has them before I make the purchase for them they have a good write up on them with a good warranty.

Jim

Jim, I've emailed a friend that did a kit in his 62 G/P waiting for answer as to where & who he used Pete  OK got answer, Auto City Classic's from Michigan ???  He had a regulator failure recently, coil spring pin broke, & they sent him a new assy. out ASAP N/Charge. Said they go to Hershey & Carlisle flea Mkts. & you could pick it up there if you order it ahead of time. Very pleased with the product & the service on replacement.   Pete

It's your car, do what you want, but I got to ask...why put power windows on a 1962 Beaumont?

Is it really worth the hassle and expense. I enjoy being able to hand crank the windows up and down on my '64 Acadian. It's one of the great things about driving a old car!

Yes its probably something that is not required but I have done a lot of things to it that wasn't available in 1962, like putting 1984 C-4 Corvette suspension under it and an LS-3 engine with duel turbo, stainless steel duel exhaust, vintage air, 4 bucket seats and a console that runs from the dash to the back and up between the buckets in the back plus much more to make it more modern the body stile I left the same the old classic look.
It is built more for show than a daily driver although I will be driving it on the better days ahead and hope to be finished this by this summer.

The vintage air and power windows are more for my wife than myself that was her input into the building of the car.
Thanks for your question and the interest in my project.
Jim

They used to have Air care in Vancouver and the lower mainland but I think they got rid of it a few years ago and in the interior of BC they never did have it, I moved from White Rock area back to the interior 4 years ago its a lot quieter and way less traffic

I ordered a 4 piece set of Nu-Relic power window system with the chrome door switches, the wire harness and door conduits for my car after a lot of research and asking many questions about them I think they are the best on the market at this time I hope I'm right.
I found Matts Classic Bowties out of California to be the best price $835.00 + $117.20 for delivery to Canada by USPS right to my door in Kamloops.

Yes I have those chrome thingies on my car as well but at high speeds it hard to turn them up and down the little switch on the door panel is much faster and easier I don't have to take my eyes off the road. lol ha ha

Yes those chrome things work well when you are in the driveway or in the garage. It's all I have though. If i do the 65 it will get the little switches.
