In most auto parts store you can get a rebuilt kit, with a 53 Canadian Pontiac, on brake parts (outside brake lines) always ask for Chevrolet 53 parts
Parts easier to find in the Chevrolet side:
Master cylinder assy.
Master rebuilt kit
drums
brake shoes
wheel cylinder
rear and front wheel bearing and seal
Remember, if your master cylinder is rusty inside on sleeve wall it's not good. Don't use a reamer or something abrasive to clean it, you'll remove some good material and it would be worst. Get a new master or get it re-sleeved for a long lasting good master cylinder.

hey shawn if you are looking for parts national chevy association, chevs of the 40's and ecklers early chevy are good sources.I've also had some luck at the local napa store for shocks and some brake parts.Just have them look under the same year chevy,if you ask for Canadian Pontiac you'll just confuse them.
Got lots of parts from national Chevy for my 52 Cdn. Poncho So far only thing that was 'off" was glove box cardboard!!! Will mail small parts but takes a bit of "begging" as no one there wants to go to post office in 'rough" section of city
