Not counting the facts that it has been "nosed" (to use the old customizer's term, meaning removal of the ornamental 'bird' and Pontiac script) and that when this photo was taken, I had not yet reinstalled the twin "Silver Streaks"
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Good eye! You got it right, Darryl. My 84 y.o. neighbor, who was a body man for a Cadillac dealer for 30+ years, helped me do it, and he added just a little more peak on the nose past where the hood bird was, by putting a strip of masking tape down the edge of the centerline, laying bondo smoothly on one side then quickly removing the tape before it had a chance to set up. I then carefully sanded the one side nice and straight, keeping that center edge. He then repeated on the other side (a bit higher than the first side) and after lots more block sanding to get it all straight and even, what you see is the result.
Not sure how that compares to the method used on the video you referenced since Flash does not view on my system (yes I have tried many times to get it to work from the Adobe site and from within Firefox, with no success, dagnabbit).
