Early Dealership sign

Was on a week long tour this past week. One of our stops was at a private collection. One of the items on display was this dealership sign from back when.

Found it very interesting.

When was the McLaughlin name dropped from the Canadian Buick line? I'm guessing about 1940 so that would date this sign to pre that time.

Sign is in amazing condition.

The McLaughlin-Buick name was used up to 1942 when car production stopped and war machinery and vehicles began. After the war and when auto production resumed it was simply Buick.

Great looking sign with Canadian historical importance. very nice.

That sign is amazing! If it is double-sided (which it probably is), it is doubly amazing!

I have to think that it is double sided although it's only about 3 inches thick.

Very rare sign to have, that's about as early as it gets for CDN GM dealer porcelain advertising. For what ever reason there have been a few Pontiac Buick ones like that come up for sale over the past year or so. The chev olds version your rarely see. They also made a smaller version of this sign aswell.
