1968 Parisienne convertible, running 327, needs a complete restoration. $1600 Reduced to $1200 SOLD

After a pretty good look over I think I should offer this car up for sale before I part it out.  Many will have seen the pictures already so not a whole lot more to be said.  Will post a short video with the engine running, has some blow by which seemed to be combined with steam so not sure if it was cool enough out or there is some coolant getting by.  Hardly any blue in the exhaust.  Frame appears solid but I still haven't got under it as good as I'd like to.  Nicely optioned with ps, pb, pw, power seat, and power top which all seem to work with a little help.  Hood is shot and back seat is in very poor shape plus needs complete interior and top.  Asking $1600 and will gladly donate a $100 to the site on completion of the sale here.

Carb needs some help as it had released a little gas on me the first fire up so I had my soaker surrounding it just in case.

I had a little time this afternoon and some curiousity so I did a compression test on 5 of the easiest cylinders. My tester is old like me and not too flexible in the tight areas. Told my buddy that today wasn't the day that I'd be donating blood. Had 4 cylinders at 125 and the other at 140 so still enough compression to get it on and off the trailer.

Any chance of you delivering it? If so I'll buy it!! BTW I'm in London Ontario.biggrinbiggrinsmile
If that car was located here I would take it in a minute. I think it's well worth a restoration, or even fix up enough to make a real decent summer driver. It's in far better shape to start with than most around here that are priced a lot higher.
So if anyone knows how to get to S-W Ontario for $700-800 shipping let me know!!

Well Earl, you might have had a deal but my timeline is a little too tight.  I have to be in Ottawa on Wednesday afternoon to meet my daughter but that only gives me 3 days of driving.  It would be an adventure for sure and everyone from Manitoba east is complaining how warm it is would provide for a nice drive.  I think with a different carb, brakes bled, and some fresh rubber I'd be game to hit the road, just don't know how far.  Would be one to add to the memoirs for sure.  Sort of funny as my next door neighbour has a little t bucket roadster that needs to be shipped to Halifax and it has been sitting at his place forever.

Just hop in and go Jerel, like I did back in the 70's! I still find it hard to believe that I bought a 66 Dodge Polara in Halifax N.S. for $75 and 3 of us took off for Ontario in it. Only had a water pump give out in Coburg, east of Toronto. That was in 1974. Too be young again!!

Those are the fun memories aren't they. We need things to talk about when we get old and are in the coffee shop.

Kevin, I'd guarantee that would be a week we would never forget because I'm sure there would be an event or too, I can't believe I even get tempted with trips like this.

I'll take you on Lake Erie for some Pickerel fishing, or we can just go to the fish and chip shack and let them catch & fry it up for us!

You are tempting me there Earl, I do love my fish, especially the finished product. For others here, I've been in contact with a guy in the valley and he will haul the car to Calgary for $500.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it.  Would be nice to just get it on the road and drive for a while with all the patina.  Then fix as you go for the stuff to make it pretty.  You don't see low buck, solid convertibles here very often.  Nothing this good for that price.

I hope you find a good buyer for it.  The $2000-$2500 to ship it from the west coast to the east coast would put a damper on it for me, though in reality even for $3600 it wouldn't be a bad deal for somebody with the clams to put into it.

Well it is actually sitting nice and dry in my garage taking up space but I haven't advertised it besides on here as the previous owner is having trouble finding the registration.  I saw him Saturday and still now luck so I want to make sure I have it transferred in my name first.  Will do something with it in the next few weeks as my truck would like it's space back come winter.  Might have to put the car out to pasture.

That is interesting.  He bought the t-bucket at least 4 years ago sight unseen, paid around 20g for it and still hasn't even seen it or had it shipped home.  My neighbour and him work in the same business and have dealings through that I guess.  It behooves both my neighbour and I that someone would just forget about a vehicle like that with an investment like that in it,

Too bad about the hassle with the papers.  Oh well, if that doesn't work out it does look like a good donor at least.

Good luck!

Just a bump on this and have reduced the price by a couple hundred bucks. Will be moving it out of the garage in the next week or so, so wouldn't mind finding a home for it.

I'll bump this up again and would let it go for $1200 to move it along. If anyone is interested a little bit east my son is probably headed to Calgary in the next couple of weeks with an empty trailer so something could be arranged.

Well if he's going to Calgary tell him to keep coming east for a spell and slow down by London Ontario before he turns around to go home! I'll be standing by the road with $1200 + some gas moneybiggrinbiggrin
