I just bought myself a 1960 Strato Chief 2dr sedan out of Edmonton. Yes I will get pictures up as soon as I can. I was born in 60 so I needed to find a good car to redo from that year. I found a great car. I'm the third owner and the only none family member to have this car. David's grampa bought the car new in 60. Give it to David for his 16th birthday in 72. David drove the car until 83 where he parked it in his garage where it sat until now. The reason to park the car, no seat belts for the kids. It's a med. blue color, inline 6 with 3sp standard. Was a colum shift until 16 year old David thought it would cooler to have a floor shifter. The floor boards and trunk are in need of some rust repair and also the drivers side rear quarter just infront of the rear tire is in need of repair. The car has never been in an accident and comes with the original bill of sale. I will do my best to have pics up soon. I will be needing some info as to where to get new floor boards and trunk pan. Look forward to hearing from the forum. I have had great success on another forum when I rebuilt my 72 Camaro SS396.
Welcome here, yes, it sounds like you have a great project. You will find a number of members here with knowledge and experience with 60's, so don't be scared to ask.

Thank you all for the welcome. I will have pics up tommorow, the car is in Edmonton and I'm up in McMurray, so the previous owner is sending me some pics tonight when he gets home from work.
Colin, a hardy welcome aboard from Milton, Ontario. Like everyone else here, i am looking forward to photo's of your 60 Pontiac. Good luck with the project and i have no doubt that any of your 1960 questions will be answered. Cheers. George

George, Thanks for the welcome. The only issue I have with the car is the floor needs to be replaced and the trunk pan also. I emailed Tinman already and waiting a reply. Other than that I have the seats to redo and the carboard under the rear window to replace. The door panels are good and all the glass is perfect.
On another note the car was purchased from a dealer in Saskatoon. I will get the name of the dealer when I pick up the car this coming weekend.
Cheers to you all.
Thanks again George
Colin, any floor sheet metal would be the same as the 1960 Full size Chevrolet. Reproduction stuff a plenty. Try ECKLER'S in the U.S.A. they have a great web site.
