Raj, where do you come up with all this wonderful stuff. Do you have anything on 1957 Canadian Pontiac's or 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Estate wagon's. This great stuff is always very appreciated mate. Cheers. George

If you liked the pictures of those new 1976 Impalas and Caprices and wanted to go back in time, you can. Check out this 1976 Caprice Landau with only 894 miles!
Here is a picture of a Canada-exclusive 1976 Chevelle Olympic Edition. It looks like it was taken on the property of the then-new GM Canada headquarters on the shore of Lake Ontario. It looks like a late fall shot from the fall of 1975.
The car below is a Malibu Classic with the ZE2 Olympic Package as they all seemed to be, but back in 1976 I saw a base Malibu ZE2 on the Don Valley Parkway that pulled off at the Don Mills exit. It seemed to me it had a Robertson dealer nameplate on it, which makes sense as it was in the area.

Nice looking car for sure. I took a friend to buy a very similar 76 Impala from the original owners' widow a few summers ago. It was mint as they come.... for mid 70's Chev's. Totally original except tires and battery. Always garaged and GM Dealer serviced. He bought it on my recommendation as I told him if he didn't want it for slightly under $9k I'll push him to the back of the line and take it myself.
I drove it back to London from Scarborough and man, did it bring back memories for me! The GM"Quality" in 1976 was abysmal to say the least. Oshawa built car. More like Oshawa slapped together car. Fit and finish, awful. Trim quality is embarrassing. This is a never hit, never painted, or modified car in any way. All GM Delco factory parts installed on the line.
I'm one of the few fans of these large barge's and have had several. Including the only collectible ones, the 74-75 convertibles. But time moves on and when I get in one now it's easy to see why most people disliked them. Would I have another? Darn right I would!! Only if I had the room, and these need lotsa room!
If you're outta room, ship that GP west, I still have one more parking spot here.
thanks for the parking spot offer Carl! It's true that I do need to sell a few cars, well actually 5 cars. But the GP isn't on the list. BTW, I'm still looking for the front fender scripts if you have any spares kicking around.
