Are you installing yourself? If not I would let your installer at least take a look at it. If it has a plastic window that would probably be a concern but the rest could well be fine.

plan on getting a pro to do the job when the time comes. If NOS has one in stock I want to buy when the sale is on
It well could have shrunk a bit over the years whether too much a pro would know. The repro stuff is very nice but I'm sure it still isn't what most of the original ones are.
