Drums infos

On our Canadian cars, a nice precaution as been made and I would like to share. I don't know if everybody already know it.

In the case of a rear oil seal leak or a front bearing over-lube, hole as been made with rear channel to evacuate the lube and keep outside the brake drum ( it goes in the rear wheel) and give time to the owner to fix the leak with normal brake operation. Not 100% efficient but not bad. To keep reliability of this, gasket must use.

Hope this help!

Fitz.

Interesting factoid Fitz- thanks. I have often wondered why a paper gasket is necessary on the flange. I guess that's why.
