I acquired this radio today, not that I have a use for it but when something like this lands in your lap you have to pull the trigger for the Brotherhood. I was at a house in Scarborough helping a friend unload drywall from my Suburban for use in the house he recent bought. After we were done he pulled this off a shelf in the garage, "Hey you got an old Pontiac" he said. "I checked this radio up on ebay and they sell for $1400" After I stopped laughing we reached a compromise price. I got it home dusted it off and snapped a few photos.
It's labeled as a Tempest Radio with 1968 marked on it. This would suggest fitment in Tempest, GTO, LeMans and possibly Beaumont. Its the real deal a Stereo AM FM. The stations switch between AM and FM when the perimeter AM FM buttons are pushed. For a quick turnaround I can let it go for $290 plus shipping. The face plate has # 7698932. My standard 5% of sale price to Canadian Poncho.

A couple of things to note; I have been asked whether this radio has a red dot light on the FM band. It does not. As far as I can tell the red dots appeared about 1970. Another member has pointed out that I have missed the pricing on this radio by a country mile....CLICK HERE to see an ebay auction at $999, and here's a photo of that radio, this has to be the auction the guy I got it from saw since $999 US is $1400 Canadian.
