I like Corvairs, too bad their reputation was unjustifiably tarnished by Ralph Nader. They didn't really have the handling problems to the extent that he lobbied, and by the last four years of their run ('65 onward), the problems were rectified. The main problem was the swing axel suspension.
On a couple off-notes;
- Ray, are these old magazines ones you bought later or collected as a kid? The Canadian-based issues you own, have to be rare.
- The Seahorse and Squirrel Monkey ads bring back great memories. I always wanted to send away for a pet Squirrel Monkey (my parents never let me ... obviously, it would have destroyed the house)
My older brother and I got Seamonkeys (Brine Shrimp eggs) and hatched them in the special magnifying aquarium. Whoa.
Remember, you could send away for a full-size Submarine (cardboard) for about 6 bucks!

There are about 15 bankers boxes of car magazines and brochure I collected as a kid and stupidly added to over the years through attendance at swap meets. I haven't bought any for about 15 years and now its time to say good by to this mess.....but as you see so many darn good articles ! What to do
I think that I'll keep the Track and Traffic, so darn rare and so interesting with a Canadian view point.
