my wife and I are looking at selling our 2 post lift (installed by the previous owner) to get a 4 post as we want to stack parking spots. So as smart as she is she said I need to sell the old one first.
I have not listed it test but figured I would post it here first and see if anyone here wants it or knows some who does. It's is a gently used 10000lb 2 post 220v hydraulic lift. mgmfg in 2009 and gently used since in the hobbiest trade. It was certified just over a year ago.
I don't have a great photo of it and have a car on it right now If you are interested send me a pm location is Halton hills and asking price is $2500

One thing to consider too if you are stacking is that your garage is a little deeper so you can stagger your car abit to open the doors comfortably. 4 post should leave you room but if garage is a little longer no problem either way.
I'll see if I can get a measurement. I have no arrive as I have known people to cut holes to let the top of the carriage go up through. I'll check today and get back to you
ideal is 12"-24" more height for the piston arms to come up can be holes into attic space(to allow more height under the vehicle)
there is the ability to add 10" of height to the unit by increasing adjustment.(I don't think this will add beyond the minimum height plus the arm height. It will just allow taller vehicles to higher before they touch the foam shutoff bar)
I have a 4 post in my garage 9000 lb. I had to also modify the opening for the garage door so it would not hit the car on the hoist when the door was opened up, all is good now and I could not do without it. The weight of the hoist parts means you need 3 people to help with the assembly. I store a 67 Toronado on it during the winter and feel it is quite safe up there.

Mike - Nice lift there / now I have to sell something...LOL.
- curious, what is the make / manufacturer ?
- model # ?
- buy it new, in 2009 ?
Are inspections needed, in a home garage ?
The make is carlift which is now knows as atlas auto equipment. It was purchased new by the originalnownernof our now house. It's a 2008 model it is the early start of atlas and is a hoist from a USA company from Indiana and sold in Canada with this name(so I have been told while trying to research the details)
The model is an SL10000OH MFG 2008
It's a wonderful hoist and I wish I could have it and a 4 post but I don't have the room and a 4 post is better suited for our space
Update/bump. Sound a deal with the dealer for our new lift and swindled in a service and takedown on this unit with purchase of our new one. This allows me to offer ours out at $2200.00 - delivery may be able to be made available for cost of fuel depending where you are located.

I guess even at today's fuel prices, plus ferry, would add a bit to delivery charge. Wish you were closer!
