A friend of mine has a 1960 Pontiac four door bubble top. Inline six with three on the tree. It is a major project needing just about everything. It was driven to where it is parked now ... outside ... been sitting for a few years. It does come with some repair panels and spare parts as I understand it. Buddy wants $750. At that price ... there will be no dickering!!! It will be a take it or leave it situation.
I will get photos on here when I get the time to go over to his place and take some pics. At that time ... I will get more details of the condition and what parts are included.
The car is located in New-Brunswick ... stay tuned!
Truthfully bubble top only refers to 1962, to deferentiate between Belair 2dr Ht which kept the 61 "bubble top" and the new Impala formal roof line. Can also be applied to Pontiac of the same years but originated with the the Chevys. Has been backdated as of late to refer to all 59 - 61 GM 2dr HT.

And here we have the three distinct roof lines for 1962 two door Chevrolets....
And that is what the guy has ... a rounded roof four door. He called it a four door bubble top ... I was just repeating what the owner told me. I am now ... a little more informed.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
OK ... well since there was quite a bit of chatter going on about this car ... I decided to head out today and check it out.
In my opinion ... there is NO WAY that this car is worth anywhere close to $750 ... and I told my buddy just that!!!
A few details: Seems like this car was destined for the crusher ... VIN already taken out ... and a friend of my buddy saved it. He drove it to where it is sitting now ... under it's own power ... with a jug for a gas tank. This guy had no papers for it ... but had plenty of plans. Long story short ... the owner has passed away. His son will sell it because nobody in the family wants it. It will sell with a bill of sale only ... no other papers. Included with the car, will be the parts he scavenged off another similar car. He got everything that was removable from that car ... doors ... chrome ... bezels ... and the VIN. That one was a cream coloured car.
I am thinking that this thing will never see the road again ... but it might be useful for parts, anlong with the parts scavenged from the other cream coloured car.
My buddy and I had a discussion about the price. He said that it was worth $200 to the scrap people ... when the steel prices get back to normal. With this in mind ... I guess that if they don't get $400 for it, it won't be worth the bother or the hassle to sell it to anyone.
And here are the pics ... of a seriously ROACHED OUT Poncho!

$200 parts car- if you needed the parts. Clutch pedals, stainless trim, hood hinges, 261 parts, maybe the rear end, that sort of thing. And it would cost you money to drag it home.

Mahone Bay, NS Still not old enough to need an automatic
That same car sold by the original owner, Floyd Garrett, last year or the year before, at BJ for in the neighborhood of $220000.

Thanks for the photos. Interesting addition to the lower left rear guard. If any one is parting out one of these always interested in trim parts down under.
