On Wednesday I received this email from a friend & he asked me if I could HELP spread the word.
NEED YOUR HELP
To all my friends, family and friends of friends. It is with great remorse that I tell you that my 1969 GTO Judge has been stolen from the farm in Lomond, Alberta.
I had hoped to restore the vehicle and give it as a gift to my son Chad since it has been in our family since 1969.
We recently put pictures of the car on Facebook so we think someone may have saw them and helped themself to the car.
By the time you are reading this I will have contacted the police in Vulcan, Calgary and Lethbridge.
It is a unique car so it will be easy to spot.
It is Orange with a spoiler and Cream leather interior and Ram air with a black vinyl top.
PLEASE HELP! THANKS, LYNNETTE
If you see this car or hear anything PLEASE contact the POLICE!!!
PLEASE forward this email to anyone that may be able to HELP!!!
More info on this car as I get it.
Terry
These are pictures as it sat in the barn before it was stolen.
It sat in there for 30 years, waiting to be restored.

Sorry about your friend's loss, but lesson learned: "We recently put pictures of the car on Facebook so we think someone may have saw them and helped themselves to the car."
I don't post anything too detailed in information on the internet. I keep saying to people, that the internet is not like a bunch of buddies talking around a kitchen table.

People have been known to post car pictures with their house and street address in the background.
I-Phone pictures in some cases have accessible GPS coordinates built in to the picture.

I wondered about my/grandsons truck being stolen in Oct
We are quite a way from the 6 Nations Indian reserve, where its carcus was found
BUT grandson was on 519Trucks website all the time posting pictures of it turns out 519Trucks members have lost over 20 trucks since
RED FLAG!

I would bet that it turns out to be the thief was someone who the owner knows or a mutual friend. Probably will never be found in one piece again.damn shame.
It was for sale on Kijiji back a few months ago . They said it was in Calgary and it was on its way back to Vancouver. https://fr.pinterest.com/pin/39617671700432668/ the link goes to Kijiji but is now gone

This should be moved to the lobby where more people will see it . I found it from a friend that sent me a link and he is not on this site .. I normally go to the lobby and then to other pages . And this is the first time on this page . Just a thought.
It looks like it was sitting where it was dry and protected, not out in the pasture with weeds growing through the floorboards.
I seem to recall a few decades where I had time but no money and then money but no time. I'd guess it's a priority now because the owner is now finally in a position where he has the time AND the money to pursue something he's been planning and dreaming about for 30 years.
Only to find some low life scumbag decided to steal it.
I think that it being stolen is terrible. In todays Toronto Sun a guy was stealing a guys truck out of his driveway. The truck's owner went out to stop him, the thief was taking off so the owner shot him with his shot gun. Problem solved, but the guy died and now he's charged with murder.

Looks like this car might have just showed up . it was on kijiji last week and here is a thread on the py forums .http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5739807&posted=1#post5739807
I agree with all the negative comments about "FARCE BOOK". Never used it and never will. "FARCE BOOK" just proves to me how boring peoples lives really are to want to be on there in the first place. Sorry about the loss and i hope everything works out in the end with the GTO.

I'm glad to hear it is going back to its original owners, but feel bad for whomever bought the car from the thief as I imagine they lost money on it.
Has anybody heard whether the thief was caught? Not trying to pry, but I despise thieves and just want to see them brought to justice. Seem there are just too many out there now who think that they have a right to take whatever they want to.
