when pushing front of car down and up it is squeaking.without knowing which one,what is more likely,the shocks or bushings.

Control arm bushings. Soak some oil around them let them sit and try bouncing the car. If it stops u just figured it out.

Yup, the guys at work hose them down with WD40 I believe and do the same thing.

I have actually had a time where it was my spring rubbing on my lower control arm. Loaded the pocket with fluid film and gone

Give the stabilizer bar bushings a squirt as well.

Mine had terrible squeaks and creaking when driving over any bumps. For a couple of years we greased the front bushings and it was quiet for the season. Replacing the front control arm bushings eliminated almost all the squeaking.
