Should have posted this one, had help with the pie crust, he likes working on cars....... Just dicking with the wiring and the steering column a bit, got is all together, battery in, inner fenders, rad, anti-freeze, exhaust, etc.
Once I get the alternator wiring done and the column finished, its about ready to fire up.

Great picture! We have more stringent Child Labour laws here on PEI.

Rained today and family busy, otherwise I would have fired it up. I have the wiring jury-rigged in there for now, will clean it up once I know all my connections are good. The Painless wiring is different from the stock and getting a 409 with Pertronics, mini hi toque, and switching the alternator to driver side, took some sorting out.

Got the 63 out last evening with the 409 and ST10 4 speed in it, plus a set of new pie crust 8 inch drag slicks. It created a lot of smoke and ran very good. I need to sort out some signal light issues with the Painless wiring and a few rattles from the exhaust. Forgot to take car pics, will do that today, no front bumper or hood on yet. Don

I find this site slow, I think it is that bug in your avatar? I hit paste a couple of times and nothing showed, it must have been still loading.

Really enjoying your build thread. Keep the pics coming!
Drop by if you are in the Mahone Bay area, you're welcome to crawl around it................
I made enough mistakes on the previous cars that I haven't made again (or found so far). So its just getting some TLC on some things from here I hope. Its licensed and legal now so I just have to work through a list of deficiencies. Headlights, tail lights, dash lights all seem to work but when I plugged my new signal light switch in, the right turn works, the left turn works, but when in "neutral", it is still flashing or at least making the sound. The exhaust and something else is doing some rattling, and not sure what else I'll find.
I pulled the 409 out of the 62 Chevy last Oct., left the distributor in, plug wires hooked up and cap laying on the intake, removed carb and spacer, all the PCV stuff, left timing set as it was. After putting new 3/8 fuel lines in, carb back on, figured out how to connect the Painless wiring to the coil and Pertronics instead of HEI; to the mini hi torque instead of a stock starter, and new transmission, clutch, PP, linkage and clutch pedal, z bar bracket mounted, hung the exhaust on with some hangers and coat hangers, new *&^%$@@ steering column, and more stuff.New black heater hoes, couldn't find any red.......
What was really good was, I rolled it over on the starter a bit to pump some gas and get some oil pressure, then dumped some gas in the carb, put the air cleaner on, it rolled over about 2 turns and fired right up. I warmed it up, it had great oil pressure, put those excellent new Darryl hubcaps on, turned left at the end of the driveway and left that strip. Did a lot of smiling after that and had a drive for about 5 KM's, then had a beer.

Sounds like a lot of fun, and a bit of misery (steering column).
I saw the "before" car in person on PEI, it will be good to see the "after" car when complete. Maybe Todd will feature it in an upcoming month!
