New guy in Kelowna. Just relocated from the Edmonton area. I've got a 1969 Beaumont that I built back in 2001. I've been on Team Chevelle for years with the same user name. Not a whole lot of Beaumont action over there or locals. My car is sort of a street/strip/daily driver/family hauler kind of ride. I've attached a few pics for your viewing pleasure:
Thanks for the welcome! A little more details the car. This is the 5th Beaumont I've owned, although only the 2nd that was road worthy. My 1st was a blue 68 that I bought complete and driveable. It was a 20 footer that had a warmed over 350/TH350/10 bolt. That car is what started my Beaumont addiction. I found a white 69 after that that I was going to use restore the 68. I liked the 69 style much better so I found a better green 69 to build. Then while collecting parts for that car I stumbled upon a deal for two 69 Beaumonts. One complete but rusty maroon Beaumont Custom with a black buckets and console interior and a 69 bare shell that was rust free. I kept the 68 to drive while I built the 69 and sold three of the 69's as project cars. The white 69 was parted out and I used the interior from the maroon car. after the 69 was on the road I sold the 68. I guess you could call it a resto mod, it's definatley not stock. It's had a few different drivertrains in it over the years. The current combo is a 388 small block with aluminum heads and a solid roller cam, 700R4, and 12 bolt with 3.73's. It runs high 11's at Castrol Raceway. Hoping to make it to Mission this year to see what she'll do at sea level. See you out on the road!
Another welcome here from a Kelowna member....The Wine Country Drag Racing Association (WCDRA) has their first race at the 1/8th mile track in Osoyoos on May 1st. It's a good time for the 'grass roots' racers in the area.

Beautiful car. Look forward to seeing it this summer. Be sure to check out the McCurdy Corners car show action in the parking lot every Wednesday evening.
