97 Silverado 350 Vortec, 4L60E automatic, runs and drives excellent. I have owned this truck since 2001. It has had regular oil change/grease jobs every 5,000 kilometres.
Tires are plenty good to pass safety, all 4 ball joints and idler arm replaced approximately 12,000 km ago.
2" platform trailer hitch, battery is barely a month old.
Air worked great last summer, haven't tested it this year of course.
Radiator is about 3 years old.
The two bad things about this truck are the obvious rust and it appears the water pump is leaking.
I have no idea what it would take to safety this truck. It is currently licensed and you can certainly come and take it for a drive. It is still being driven daily. $750

I predict this won't last the weekend before somebody throws $750 your way. The timing is not great for me right now, or that somebody would probably be me.
I have two guys already saying they want it but they both want me to bring it to Winnipeg, 1/2 hour away. That has been my experience in the past, a lot of city guys won't drive 1/2 hour outside the perimeter cause it's too far away.
And yet from one side of the city to the other takes longer than that!

I should add to this, in 14 years, I've packed wheels bearings a number of times, replaced starter, alternator, water pump, fuel pump, radiator, 4 ball joints, idler arm, a couple of batteries, tires and that's about it besides the regular scheduled maintenance stuff. A total of about $1500 I'd say, pretty darn good for driving a truck for 200,000 km.

I'm 10 minutes outside Sherwood Park, and having the same problem. Can't get people out here even for screaming deals!
I wish I was in Alberta, I would have came for a visit!
