Thank you for letting me into this site. My name is Fabio, I am Brazilian and currently live between Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia. My family is in Caracas, and so is my '66 Pontiac Parisienne. This car is very rare in Venezuela (I saw two since 2012, and both were in horrible shape), and I guess non existent in Brazil, where gasoline price was always an issue. I put an image here so that you have a reference of the car. I bought it in 2012 and since then my love for the car grows and grows. I decided to take it to Brazil, as we are allowed to import oldies (older than 30 years). But before that, I decided to restore it.
It is in quite honest shape, but there are a lot of minor things to do, from placing the emblem in right position to changing all the rubbers in suspension / steering to removing rust beneath the window trims, etc. I sent it to restoration back in January, but we are having a hard time trying to find parts. My mechanic has some connections in USA, but they mostly deal with GTO and Bonneville, and it seems there are some differences.
I guess Canada is my salvation, and I was very hopeful when I found Canadian Poncho forum. Mostly I will ask you guys help with parts. Please help this poor 3rd world adventurer put that marvelous machine back in shape!
Thank you for the warm welcome! The brochure was just great! My dash is exactly the one featured in page 7, as well as the rear. I guess I came to the right place.
Hi Fabio; your car looks in great shape. Maybe we should get you on the right page and let you know that Canadian Pontiacs not only sat on a Chevrolet frame & suspension but also used Chevy drive trains. So when ordering mechanical or suspension parts you need Chevrolet parts
Anyway if we can help with an reproductions parts let me Know
Welcome aboard Fabio! As Dale from NOS Reproductions mentioned he can supply you with quite a few parts for your car. Any mechanical and suspension components need to come from full sized Chevrolet from that year (Impala, Bel Air etc).
I look forward to seeing more photos of your car!
Welcome. Beautiful looking car. No disrespect intended but I noticed the hood emblem was backwards and think it's remarkable how well it actually appears to fit. Would love to see more photos.
Welcome here, we are very glad to have you, believe me!
You will find pretty much all the help you need right here. The American Pontiac internet sites are not much help for you as you have found out.
Make sure you understand if people tell you things that are needed on your car, we are only trying to help. We are not trying to make your car look bad, or make you feel bad! I know I speak for all of us when we say we want to see more of your car and hear more about it.

Fabio, a hardy welcome aboard from Milton, Ontario, Canada. That is a beautiful looking 66 Poncho you have there and you will notice many people on here that love the 1966 Pontiac as much as you do. I hope you enjoy the ride here on Canadian Poncho's as much as the rest of us. There is nothing C.P. and its members does not know about your car, so please ask away. Good luck with your sweet 66 and cheers. George

Welcome aboard. Really great to have another international member. You've probably already noticed that we have a splattering of members all around the world but I believe you're the first from Venezuela ( or Brazil ).
Love the looks of you car.
And as others have already said " we're here to help "
I have to say I do love 1966 Pontiacs for some reason! Your four door hardtop looks fantastic! You have definitely come to the right place to find most of what you need.
As others have said it would be great to see some more pictures. If you include a photo of the firewall tag someone here will be able to give you some important information.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Fabio, we need to know more about your 66 Canadian Pontiac. What motor and tranny are in it, what actual work has been done to your to your Pontiac, how did you get a hold of the car, how long have you had it. You know stuff like that, also we need lots and lots of photos. Cheers. George
