1970 GTO in Tampa Florida.

Hello, Randy from Tampa Florida with a 1970 Pontiac GTO with an originally built as a Pepper Green on Green interior 400 cid automatic in Oshowa Canada. It is now Cardinal Red with a black interior 455 car. I still have the original 400 in safekeeping and enjoying the torque of a 455 with 4:11 rear gears. I know pics are a must from newbs. Thanks for allowing me to join the forum here.

Beautiful car ~ 1970 was the first year GTO was built in Oshawa. 1973 was the second and last.

Since your car was built in Canada you can get excellent documentation from GM Vintage Vehicle services. You'll get your vehicle's build date, option list, selling dealer and production numbers. Here is the link:

Todd, thank you brother! I may go that route instead of PHS services. I didnt see a price list for the services or a contact email for them.

I have mentioned this before on here, I was asked to document for a US client a 197o Judge Convertible US built but Canadian Market car. The owner had the PHS documents which I did not find very useful. The GM Canada papers were far superior even for a US built Canadian sold car. For a Canadian Built Car like your's I'd say that's the only way to go. You will get absolutely everything that went into that car.

As far as I know that's a No. If PHS does then that would be a bonus.

Canadian window stickers are very different from US. Do you know any history on your car, was it Canadian made and sold originally or was it an export version from Oshawa to the USA ?

Here is an example of what the Canadian docs look like. These are for the 75 Firebird Esprit I owned:

Todd I'll be in touch hopefully soon to get the V V S documents soon. In the meantime I'll post the window sticker that PHS provided.

That is just the way I would want my 70 GTO to look, if I had one.  Beautiful stance, paint, everything.  We are in Michigan most of the year but spend the winter in Ft Myers.   If you travel to the south for any car events in the winter months, we would love to see the Judge in person.

The reproduction window sticker shows that the car was delivered to Cincinnati Ohio dealer, so -- export from Oshawa to USA.
