As most guys I'm worried about someone hot wiring or smashing out the ignition on my car and driving away! Picked this up off ebay for $5,add a relay for $10 and your set. It's a key fob with small pc board that you can use to control a relay. Can be mounted anywhere in the car and control(turn on/off) anything like coil/ecm/fuse panel/elec fuel pump, etc. Won't say what it's hooked up to or where it's mounted but thought some of you may be interested. Is kinda a cool little gadget. About 1"x 1" in size. Also might help in insurance rates??

Kill switches aren't all that uncommon. Dad's '93 Colt had a flat switch hidden under the carpet. Key to on, press, turn to start. But I hate to tell you ... most professional car thieves aren't hotwiring cars, and definitely aren't busting up the steering column. Too many cars have coded keys today ... if they have keys at all. Pros show up in a tow truck, load your car in half a minute and are gone. Signs on the truck usually suggest you're being repo-ed. You might stop joy-riders ... but with the damage they'll do to your car before they discover they can't start it ... or after when they discover it .. you'd probably have an easier time dealing with the insurance if you just let them leave with it.

Yup,only helps with "honest" thieves. Most cars around here are found 20 miles away, stolen by joy riders. No car is theft proof but it might deter them enough to move onto the next car and think you would get some sort of discount on insurance?
I bought one of these for the class B van.Led light flashes every 5 seconds.2X AA batteries, last forever,on off witch.$3.99 amazon.ca.A mild break in deterent.
You`ll know where the board is hidden, just jump from the power supply to board to engage the relay. This way you are using the same power supply to engage both if it should fail. Could draw it out for you but I`m not good at drawing, little own explaining. Hope you caught my drift.
So much for the buddy system,I feel my emotions were just violated.

Bypass/jumper wire if it screws up. Your hot in can be hooked up to power all the time or power when the key is on run/start but remote will only work with key on.
