4 door to 2 door compatibility

I have a line on trading for a 62 Parisienne 4 door. I am wondering what would swap over from the 4 door to a 2door post. Do the seats or door panels swap over? Any of the body panels work in case my 2 door gets hit. Thanks

Front seat bottom might be the same, back on 4 door seat is solid, not split like 2 door. Rear seat I believe is different.

Doors on front  of 4 door are shorter than post doors so nothing would fit except door handles (in and out) and the vent windows.

From the front windshield forward everything should be the same.

Rear lights, trunk lid  and bumper should be the same.

Dash should be the same.

Quarters would be different because of the rear doors on the four door.

Just buy the 4 door and send me the 2 door    if it gets hit in Ontario, I would fix it with JB weld

On a 62 Chevy, the rear quarters are the same on the 2 door and the 4 door, wonder if Cdn Pontiac are the same too. The 2 door-4 door difference starts at the fender well lip. To check this, I tried a set of fender skirts on the 2 door Impala, 4 door Bel Air, and the 2 door Bel Air hardtop. Floors and rockers were the same too, the 4 door may have an extra floor brace.

You could cut the roof (half way up the front glass pillars) and rear door/door post, back glass and area off the 4 door and the 2 door and make a 2 door out of a 4 door.

This was a pic of an Impala 2 door made into a Bubbletop, but you get the idea on how this could be done on the 4 door? I have pics somewhere of a 62 Bubbletop done this way, the guy and 2 buddies, all good cutters and welders, did the changeover in a weekend.

These are a good example in differences between the exterior body from 2 door and 4 door.

(when trying to make a 4 door into a 2 door.)

Although they are older than your car, the

same would apply for your 62, as these.

This will show you what parts are the same from a four door and a 2 door,

and what parts would be salvageable for your 2 door.

Thanks for all the info, I did not end up getting the car, it was too rough body and frame wise and not enough of the interior would swap over
