Hi every one .....so i found on here a 12 bolt bop posi that i bought off one the members here , he did an amazing job of posting it down to me and i am very pleased with it ! so now i am on the look out for some 3.55 or there about gears for it ! I know i can buy them from Fabcraft in the US but i am just putting the feelers out here to see if any one has a set laying around anywhere they they would be willing to part with . My posi came with 2.94's. Its the 12 bolt 8.875 that is in the 10 bolt housing from a 66 Bonneville ! fingers crossed there may be a set out there and i wont have to go stateside !! thanks j

Most USA Poncho came with "really " high gears, in the high 2's or low 3's I had a hell've time searching for gears or a "pot' when I had the 64 Catalina. Found a "POT" with 3:08's after a long search, got it home from Cleveland & was talking to a guy at a cruise in & he wanted to trade his 3:42's for the 3:08's Just fell into that one, did the trade as I really wanted a 3:42 gear but couldn't find one until that happened!!! Bought my 3:42 gear set at Summit for the Torpedo Back [ 86 Cutlass/ Monte Carlo chassis]a few yrs. ago, works "perfect" with the Tremec 5 speed.

....i can get a set of 3.55 from the states from fabcraft but with the exchange rate and import tax they are close to $1000...but obviously thats for brand spanking new !!! now if only i could get a normal set of chevy 12 bolt gears to fit !!! they are only $300 to the door !
the ones from fabcraft are about the only option. Even living in the states and having access to many of these full size cars, it is very difficult to find them in anything over a 3.08. 3.42 was the highest factory option for the full size rear but you could get dealer installed gears in a higher (numerically) ratio.
You may be better off building a Chevy 12 bolt or a ford 9" to fit your rig.
