715 is a 6 cylinder Canso, 37 is a 2 door hardtop, 7 is the year, I believe 1 is the production plant (thought it should be O, but I must be remembering wrong) 101143 would be the 1143rd body built.

The guys have decoded the VIN. Now if you post the numbers off the data tag this group will also decode them.

That tag should be on the firewall by the blower motor if it's still there.

Be careful and go slow because the trim tag is soft and can be damaged. Try lacquer thinner & a rag, taking care not to use too much or get it all over. With the tag painted black it should provide some excellent readability if you just go over the raised characters. As delivered from the factory, often the dum-dum (hard black sealer) that the factory applied over the trim tag rivets can partially obscure some of the trim details. Usually people clean it up if they repaint their firewalls.
