I am listing this Pontiac for the estate of owner/friend . He bought the car in Brandon, the car lived in a garage all its life. It was used summers only for about 2 years then parked. The tires in the photo are original only part not oem is the battery. As you can see in the photos the headliner has fallen, and it has exhaust leak at manifold gaskets. The car has been appraised for approx. 150,000 US. PM me and I will give you the contact info of the estate, it is a Manitoba car and still is tks Laurie Now how to get the car upright?

Had a talk with the seller about the price, he put a asking price on the car of 115,000 Canadian dollars to make easier to deal . The car has never been restored the way you see it thats how came of the auto transport never was in the show room Laurie
Post on Yenko.net forum.... That's where the guys with $$$$$$$$$ hang out. Beautiful car.
Rich guys...that don't know anything about Pontiacs.....Good plan.....

Yes you could say Steve has a LITTLE bit of knowledge/experience on Pontiacs! ( Mopars too.) If you want some really good reading, check out his threads in the Pontiac section at SYC.
I remember a 455 SD car being shown in Brandon in either '89 or '90, likely the same car, unless there was a few of them there... I had no idea the were fetching that kind of $$
Took one almost identical (was a 4 spd, <50,000 miles) for a test drive in about 1980. They wanted $3000 if I'm not mistaken. .
Wasn't then (and definitely would not be today) as original as this one. But it was sure fun to drive.
The car sold for 78,000 ,It went to Ont. into a collection The car was in some cars shows in that time frame Les did not drive the car much after about 2-3 year after buying it. Laurie
Ya that seem more 'in-line" with what I thought the car would bring. $150,000.00 US appraisal seems off to.
But what I have a hard time dealing with, NOTHING ABOUT THIS CAR, is the "pony/trans am" cars like Boss 302, '69 Z28 and T/A & AAR Mopars. The LONG dollar these are going for is just outrageous to me. For $70K I would have bought this car, or a 427 Vette, LS6 you know. BB car with some real power.
But hey, when it's time for me to drop big $$$ on some cars, it won't be the SB ones.
$150k would be what a similar 1973 would go for. The 74's, with their love it or leave it noses don't fetch nearly the same money. (And yes I have a '73 SD but I also have a '75 Firebird that my Gramma bought new).

I remember that Randy Bachman of Bachman-Turner Overdrive drove a Buccaneer Red 1974 Trans Am SD-455 in a 1974 video where they played "You Aint Seen Nothin Yet". They weren't called videos back then. Anybody remember it? Must have had Manitoba plates on it.

Selling in that price range in Canadian dollars it was a great buy. Cherry low mileage cars are few. Just like any of the muscle cars they were usually driven hard and SD's didn't get respect that the early high compression cars got. Its finally their time. Agree with NJSteve that the 74-5 cars weren't the favorite of the 2nd gen birds but his grandma's car is sweeeeet! Barry
