New Acquisition - '64 Parisienne Convertible - To Be Parted Out

Nice parts car. Dibs on the stainless gas tank surround and if its not taken Steering wheel. I could also use a full rear passenger side window if they are the same as the hardtop, my chrome is not great on this window.

Hi Brian,

The gas tank surround is spoken for.

I'll check on the window.

... Darryl.

Convertible rear 1/4 windows are not the same as hardtop .

If Darryl can't help , I have a pair here.

Here's the UGLY. Fibreglass, rivets, screws, bolts, wood, angle-iron, bondo, tar, spatter paint, etc.

The top hydraulics were relocated and cobbled together.

The rear quarters have been cut, and lower quarters lap riveted on.

In the trunk, there is galvanized sheet metal with fibreglass on it (it doesn't bond), it seems ato be pushed up about 4".

The front floors have been "repaired" previously with sheet metal and screws, and have rotted out a 2nd. time.

Channel iron has been welded to the frame and the rear bumper attached to it.

The wheel houses are Swiss cheese ... and so on.

Funny, I had to use 4 different screw drivers (green & red Robertson, slotted, and Phillips) to unscrew all the trim, door panels, etc. off this beast.

All kinds of sketchy wiring, and I've barely started taking the electricals apart!

But that's the MOST fun....taking them apart....when you know you don't have to put them back together again...

You gotta admire the "restorers" ingenuity......it realy didn't look that bad....at first glance....on the outside...

No red hoses Don. biggrin The engine compartment looks the like least monkeyed around with part of the car (besides the 1978 350 transplant).

Did you need anything for your car?

I'll answer your question with a question Terrybiggrin ... do you need convertible specific parts?

I've parted out (3) '64 Parisiennes, so I do have some non-convertible parts also.

To be honest, I don't think it would be worth your while. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 condition-wise, and the shipping would kill you (it's a long, heavy piece).

Hi Darryl. Curious if you have a correct antenna for the front fender? Was looking at power as an option to solve a silly problem but got it apart yesterday and I think the issue on my car is a matter of needing to install the proper one

Yes. They have a very specific style black, ribbed plastic nut.
