I have a 1966 Beaumont, I was wondering if there was ever a spring attached to the accelerator pedal to keep it depressed. Right now the only thing keeping it depressed is the throttle linkage on the carburetor, somehow I don't think that's how it works.
Accelerator pedal is extremely sensitive and sometimes sends me flying.
There should be a return spring hooked to the carb. On the same link as the throttle linkage. And I'm pretty sure you don't mean depressed. That would be full throttle.

Well the piston return spring sure does. Sorry couldn't help myself. Actually I haven't seen it but anything's possible. Mine goes back to the plug wire bracket. But it's 68 B body.
