Yes, excellent. Interesting how it could be the pump when it passed the visual inspection but this is one for all of us to keep in our memory bank.

Only thing I can think of is that the pump was so old that the inside of the impeller(where the vane and plate meet) was eaten away and became rounded (cast steel) so didn't move enough water/coolant. Just a guess.......don't have a flow bench.wink
