My 66 Beaumont Custom Wagon UPDATE

Hello all, Thought I'd send an update:

(This was in the cars/parts for sale forum)

Haven't done much - at least what can be seen...

I did give it a quick exterior and engine compartment bath with a pressure washer. I've picked up a few parts - went to Portland and Monroe and found the following:

New windshield, front bumper, front bumper brackets (could give someone that awesome looking bumper that is on it now...form a line and no pushing!), I also picked up a 12 bolt rear, a set of wheels, a d/s front fender as well as two sets of headers (will sell one set).

I'm in the process of building a 1970 402 - and have collected all the parts for it except for front pulleys as I'm not sure if I have to use the short or long water pump, pulleys, etc. As my research has been inconclusivecry

A buddy of mine came up with the 396 emblemsbiggrin

Just picked the front disc brake stuff today for a pretty good dealsmile

Next up is a brillo pad on the exterior and interior removal in prep for metal repairblankstare - on that note does the TRIM Code 373 mean Red?

Cheers!

Brett , good luck with the car, MAN oh MAN I hope you can get it restored, they are so so rare, almost impossible to find and typically after 50 years , I believe that there is maybe only 1/10th of the cars left,....this could be one of only 35 that are still around !!
I'd love to see it when you finish it !!
PS , if I come across any 66 parts I'll get in touch with you for sure

Great looking project. Love those beaumont wagons . If you want period correct you would need the short water pump and brackets. The long water pump was not used until 1969.  Keep sending those pics.

Well I guess I'm hooked!

I just picked up another 1966 Beaumont wagon...this one appears to be a factory manual transmission V8 car - unfortunately the trim tag is missing from the firewallcry

I bought the first one in Barriere BC and this one was also in Barriere - interesting considering how rare these cars are...

The bonus with this one is that it came with a spare front door as well as a spare tailgate - both have the Custom Model trim on thembiggrin

Cheers

You should get the GM docs on your new wagon. That will tell you production and verify it was a manual trans car.
