I am new to CP and the proud new owner of this wonderful numbers matching 1938 Pontiac Silver Streak Deluxe Touring Sedan. This car was restored by a good friend (who now lives in Calgary) in the late 70's and has been lovingly maintained and driven ever since. It is now back home in Regina Saskatchewan, where it was built at the old GM plant on Winnipeg Street, number 40 of just 449!
The picture shows it sitting in front of the old Regina plant, and yes, the limestone header is still there over the doors of the old office building!
This is the first Pontiac in my collection, which includes Oldsmobiles, GMC Trucks from the 50's, Model A Fords, Mercedes Roadsters and even a Diamond T.
Welcome from Canada's east coast. That's one of the oldest Canadian Pontiacs we've had on here in a while.
We should start a poll to see how many pre-1950 Canadian Pontiacs are on this site.

Thanks! I was a little disappointed to see that there were so few old timers on this site, so I decided to get a picture on here to provide a little diversity. It is nice to hear they are still appreciated.
Thank you all for your kind welcomes! I did not know what to expect on this board as it does seem more geared to later models and more horsepower. As I looked at the rides of the people who welcomed me I was very pleased to see that, while their personal preference was not older Pontiacs, they were still happy to appreciate one of their cars' predecessors. I am all about older stuff and absolute "as it came from the factory" original. I am a Concours level Chief Class Judge, and unfortunately, that means all you do is look for faults! At the same time, in my own collection, I am far more interested in a car I can drive than a trailer queen. NONE of my cars are 100 pointers! And in Sasky, all the best places and collections to visit are down gravel roads!
I am also on the Board of Directors of The National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada, fighting for the right to keep our old cars on the road! If you you are interested in more info on helping in the effort, please me know, or visit us at naacc.ca
I encourage all you guys (and gals) with older pre-war Pontiacs, to join up and be part of this conversation!
