Picked up a 1962 Acadian Beaumont Convertible last summer and have been working on getting it road worthy. Mechanicals done engine is purring but based on test drives I'm pretty sure there's a straight 6 to V8 swap in the future. Electricals done, burnt cigarette lighter wire down the length of the wiring harness and pretty much repaired everything connected to the battery. Upholstery is out and just removed the spray in asphalt undercoating under the carpet. Need to weld three little patches in this weekend then rust converter etch primer and paint. Here's a picture.
You've got some company on here from your area. A few guys within about 20 minutes of you I would guess.
I think that car may have belonged to someone who posted about it here a few years ago. It looks familiar.
By the way, a local group of us get together from time to time for a coffee, totally random, whenever we feel it's time again. Keep your eyes open in the "Lounge" here, we always discuss the date and time there.
Cool car...

I started a thread under Acadians. Build is going to go slow as I have several projects on the go. The car does not have the original engine so it's open for a build. I think I may keep it as close to original as possible and just play around with the paint and interior. the next guy can put in the v8 and Nova interior.
