I used a natural plastic barrel for a sandblast cabinet and was always playing around with trouble lights for lighting. Finally bought a LED light and just laid it on the barrel. What you seeing in the picture is not a picture of the direct light its actually how bright it is in the barrel. Solved my lighting problem in the sandblast cabinet. By the way I have dropped this LED light three times now and they can take a beating.
The trick is to find a small car to park underneath it.
... or a toboggan.

Got the other quarter on and door stripped for door skin. Should be going together pretty fast now. If I don't get sidetracked. Got to get the radiator to a rad shop, Who knows what was used to seal it in the past. Plan right now is to swap or trade this car when I'm done. Putting that out there to see if there is any interest. Going to be a nice little white convertible.
Door is in nice shape, could have patched rather than skinned it but its better to take a look and do some door guts maintenance. No work this weekend, once the door and the fenders and hood are bolted on the body work starts.
If you want that car to be special paint it twilight turquoises with a dark aqua interior. My mother had a Nova, this color combo, new in 1962 and I had a Canadian Nova this color combo, in 2001 from BC. Unfortunately I sold it after driving it for about 5 years but before I got around to restoring it. Convertible top was white and it was killer with the top up or down.
1962 is still my favorite Nova or Acadian and I hope to own another. The one thing I have come to terms with in regards to the 62-63 Nova/Acadian's is they are a major project to Hot Rod. Nothing on these cars is built for performance. You might as well, lift the body shell up and drive a complete new rolling frame underneath it. You need, frame, brakes, driveline, wheels, tires, suspension, rearend, motor, transmission plan on replacing all of it.
i already painted the inner panels white and ordered all the super bright red interior stuff. New top came with it and is black so those are my colors. Did the mechanical first so its good to have a reminder not to put a V8 in it. Plan is to finish it and swap trade for something else. The next person can hop it up. Still might paint two large red strips down the hood and trunk. kids will think its a hot wheel and it will scream performance. lol.
Welding's all done, found some cracks in the trunk that turned out to be the original seam sealer, easy fix. Panels on this side are all on, fibreglass is on the welds, feels like progress.
decided not to move so I need to make some changes here. Starting with these three trusses.Going to get some scissor trusses and replace these. Also going to put some more window panes in my garage doors. House faces south so more natural light would be nice.
I don't know when it's going to be done. I have the car and some bikes ready for paint. Starting to spruce up the house too so who knows. Hobby only so it gets done when it's done. It will be painted before summer. Maybe assembled in the fall. I hope I don't work on them this summer. That means no riding and no fishing.. Sometimes the urge to putz around in the garage is too strong though.
