Once you insert the pictures into the text area, you can click on the photo and you should see selection dots at the corners of the photo. Drag the selection dot toward the center of the photo and it should resize - bigger or smaller. Works for me anyway.
Nothing wrong with the big pictures, except they are sideways.

New gas tank and fuel sending unit. I put some seafoam in the old one when I was winterizing the rest of my stuff. The tank started to leak. Found the old tank had been in a under carriage collision and there was about 2 litres of bondo on it. Even followed the contours and then sprayed it with undercoating. LOL. Tank was also full of granite rocks the same size as the gas fill so I guess way back when some kid was bored. I'm glad it started weeping, Can you imagine trying to trace where that noise is coming from after the car is on the road.

Floor is welded, three small patches. Used Wurth rust converter on top. You can sand as much as you like but the rust converter never lies. anything black in color was rust. all dead now.
Took the seat tracks apart to blast and paint. Each track has two cages with a main roller and two ball bearings. the ball bearings cut deep into the metal. No lube or soft metal i'm thinking.
Just started on the Body, Holy crap there is a lot of bondo on this car. It's so thick I had to take the bulk of it off with a heat gun. Recent metal, doors and rockers so cant complain. Going to be a bear to get straight though.
yuck, not going to be able to straighten the quarters or work through the old repairs. Looks like some new metal on the way. Could have bondoed the garage with the amount of plastic on the car, got one good fender, one good door and good rockers, trunk is good and a lid I have not decided what to do with. I like a challenge but good grief. Welds are all bad and ground thin so not much to work with. Over 1 " of bondo in some spots, average is 1/2" I filled a metal garbage can. Looks like all collision repairs, lots of new metal so the cars inners look good. Some old school Brass repairs. Car is 200lbs lighter. More work then expected but less dust too.

Wow. It's amazing what can be hidden. You would think with your floors being not so bad the rest of the metal would be pretty good also.

The car is actually in excellent shape. Good bones, just poor body repairs. There has been ongoing repairs to the car which is good sometimes. Metal is good but the body lines are 2 inches deep. Some crumpled metal with old school brass and bondo also. I could pull it all out but there's a time to grief formula I work by. "More time and more grief feels like work. If it feels like work, work on something that feels like a hobby." Plus I am going to swap the car for another project when I'm done. I want the next person to have solid foundation when they drop a new power plant in it. Seems like these cars top out at around $15,000.00 so I can't do a motor, front end, rear end, brakes, power steering etc swap to it. I did the mechanical first so its got a nice running six and minor stuff like brakes etc. Metal is ordered.
