Hello everyone, Ted here from southern Saskatchewan.
20 years ago I had a 64 Pontiac Acadian Invader 4 door, I just loved it, but had to let it go. Just a year ago I had a 63 Chevy II Nova 4 door, but had it let it go too.
As of now I'm looking for a KEEPER. I definitly like the Acadian better than the Nova, with the Pontiac grill and what I call the arrowhead tail lights.
I'd like to find a 62-64 Acadian 4 door. I'm willing to look at anything. I figured I would start the search here.
Could someone point me to some good sites to search, seems all my efforts turn up Novas from the USA.
I see a 1967 Beaumont ragtop on that site - $15k, 327 4 spd. Look slike it would be worth a look for someone (though the ad states, one week only, which makes me think he's trying to get a free appraisal...)
You could post a "wanted" ad on these sites too... Good luck with your search.
Welcome to CP Ted and you don't hear that very often! Nice to see there is still an appreciation for the 4dr's out there. Good luck on the search, were a couple out west(bc) but think the adds have expired or have sold.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.

members here seem to be REALLY good at making everyone aware of anything like that which comes up for sale ect;
So check in as often as you are able.
Good luck!
Maybe try to network yourself with Pontiac ect clubs in SK, AB, & MB - maybe a member has one they had not entertained selling because they figured the "extra" doors rendered it not worth the effort to try to sell... you just never know.
good luck!

Well Im leaning towards a daily driver, although there are variables involved. Variables will adjust depending on condition and cash.
A project car would have a very good body(little to no rust), glass and chrome, I know thats asking a lot. 5 bolt hubs, convert as required.
Already done, customized car would save me all work, or very little at least. Too pretty or trailer queens are out of the question as the daily driver factor would go away.
Original condition cars are in way to good a shape to do anything to them. A survivor car is a survivor car and should not be touched in any way.
I just don't or won't know until I see pictures on condition, and drivetrain specs. Hope you understand, Im sorry I'm just all over the place with my wants and requirements.
Distance from Assiniboia, Sask(Moose Jaw) is a big factor. Saw a minty one from BC but its a survivor plus 1800km one way. Saw some rust buckets, not even worth as parts cars guy wanted 750 each. No thanks.
My budget is well under 4000.
picture is what I had, should have kept, but shit happened. paid 300 for it, uhaul 100, gas 150. 700 mile round trip. 550 not a bad price, with lots of cash room for improvements.
The dream drivetrain would have been 283/L60e/3.73
Thanks for looking into my situation. Hear from you when, you can. please email your finding to tkkelly@sasktel.net
I looked at one in Moosomin about 3 years ago. It had been in their family since new. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't still sitting in their garage. Doubt if I still have the contact information.
Hello Jerel, thanks for the heads up on this car. I just emailed the Moosomin local newspaper requesting to place a want add. Hopefully something turns up.
I don't expect you to turn your office upside down looking for that name and number, from years ago, but would help.
Moosomin is 4 hours away, thats really close in my opinion.
