Buddys 64 rag

Was over at my buddys yesterday and it turns out his neighbor has a 64 CS. He has owned it since 1969. Had a ton of work done to it in 2012. Car was supposed to have a white top but he never checked it when he ordered it. By the time he sent the car out to have the top put on it was to late to return it. Interior is 100% original. Forgot to take pictures of that. Was a little chilly out there.

They sell those bottle caps repro.

Nope, sorry Darcy. The convertible I tore apart had a "hardware store" type switch instead of the original.

The grill halves are out, right?

I know a local guy who would die for that car, it's a twin to what he drove in the 70's when I was working at the Texaco station. He has sometime's mentioned he'd like another one like it that one is IDENTICAL. What a nice looking car...

Het Guys
I'm new to the site and seeing some sweet rides... I just picked up my 64CS 18 months ago and will have a full ride this summer. The car is running real nice 305 installed. 283 was dead, turbo 350 trans. Have redone interior, dual exhaust with red rockets to give a little rumble. Have corvette rally on for now. Picked up some Pontiac rally need some love, work on them this summer. Just a few words to say hi, and bring you up to speed LOL.
What I'm looking for is the chrome around the wheel wells. When we did the work my buddy couldn't look at it any more, it was real rough. So as great friends do he gave a face lift (not a big budget) so I know have hot rod primer LOL... But the wheel chrome was no good, any one know someone or have some available.
Thanks for reading my story
