1974 Chevrolet Caprice Estate Parts Wanted.

I am looking for the following 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Estate parts in excellent used or N.O.S. condition.

Front bumper rubber filler panel. That goes between bumper and grill area.

Complete hood release assembly. Including handle, attaching hardware and cable assembly.

Litter container. That goes on passenger side kick panel in beige or tan colour.

Original GM floor mats. In beige or tan colour.

Original GM rear cargo area mat. In beige, tan or black colour.

Delco Am Fm 8 track cassette in dash player. Must be the proper 74 unit and prefer working.

Door weather stripping. New and must have same pattern.

1974 Chevrolet Caprice Estate ads. Good enough to frame and display.

George at C.P.

George, Ted Holcombe comes highly recommended from a friend, all NOS parts from defunct GM dealers. I'm looking at NOS fibre optics right now for a 1976 Fleetwood. Very nice.

Dave just also bought in addition to the fibre optics the NOS Hood release cable and hardware, I'm sure that part is common to the big cars of that era. He said it was $150. You are getting NOS GM OEM parts so definitely worth the cost in my opinion. Good luck.

Here is a possible source for some bumper filler panels for your Caprice Estate:

http://www.classicindustries.com/shop/1974/impala/parts/body-components/bumper-components/filler-panels/

They claim to fit the 74 - 76 Caprice & Impala. I am a little suspicious of the fit as there were differences between the 74 Caprice / 75 Bel Air-Impala style & the swept back corner style of the 75 Caprice/ 76 Impala. The originals were rubber while some made-to-order repros I have seen out of Texas were fiberglass.

I see your plastic grille has some damage. Our 74 Biscayne had a little as well. The plastic grilles, rather than take a dent, would just shatter or fracture. Hold out for an NOS 74 Caprice grille and you will do your father's memory proud!

Cam, thanks for the information. I am aware of the fiberglass filler panels and i do not like them. I have seen them on cars and they do not look right. My grill is not damaged in any way, it is just flaking paint. I may repaint the grill down the road. Cheers. George
