They don't seem to list any Canadian models only US.

Look at US Catalina and Impala, split the difference. And that value only applies within Canada... these cars are a curiosity down here in the US but not valuable.

Looks largely rust free, but I wouldn't have qualms about modifying the power train or suspension on that one! I wouldn't be cutting up that nice sheetmetal for tubs or anything, but I say modify away!

Nice nosecone! I've long had a theory, and another member (North?) had said something similar, that there must be at least two batches of Endura nosecones out there, because sometimes you'll find one that's been sitting in the Saskatchewan sun and cold for 40 years and still mint, while others were falling apart in the 80s.

Anyone know if that's more than rumor and conjecture? If so, you'd think it'd be true of Firebired parts, Camaro bumpers, and so on... unless maybe the "bad" ones were really early.

Yes, there are at least two different kinds. The one on my Laurentian was thinner than the replacement I bought on Ebay

Most are a thinner design that gets very brittle and literally falls off like dried mud. but some of them are thicker on the inside and the material feels like the stuff the used on the GTO Endura and they don't deteriorate. The second thicker version is noticeable in that the holes to receive the arrowhead do not go all the way through the material.

My 69 Parisienne is an original paint car but I have no issue with modifying it some. Don't cut holes or make custom mods to the body and everything can be returned to stock if desired.

btw, back to the original question of this thread about the value of that Stratocheif... I would say based on what pops up here from time to time in Quebec I'd say that that car is worth $1-2,000 if you had to sell it in a reasonable time frame.

Going to lump all the full size models from 67 to 70 CDN Pontiac together (excluding 2+2 and 396/427 cars). People out west seem to feel their cars are worth in the $3500 - $5000 for a decent driver. If they sell for that I couldn't say.

There are two fullsize 69 Pontiac convertibles for sale around here in same to a little nicer condition than the Stratochief in question and they are in the $4k range and have been for sale for months, one is a Parisienne and the other a Catalina.
