OK, I'm working on a 69 Parisienne 2+2 convertible. I need a white top but ive only really looked on e-bay. Is there anywhere in Canada i can order one from? Also, I need a new nose and have found both fibreglass and plastic noses. Just wondering if anyone has used the plastic and if it's worth getting to save a few bucks

Welcome to CDN Poncho by the way. Feel free to introduce yourself and share some pic's of your 69 2+2 'vert. We love seeing projects so no imbaresment showing off a in construction car.
I've never tried one of those fiberglass plastic noses but I've heard that the two issues are that the finishing work your body guy will do will cost many times what you pay for the nose and the look of the inside as seen when the hood is open is way off. That being said finding nice original ones is tough as hell and they typically sell for $300-600 and also require finishing work.
So I should just keep searching to find an original? I'm not going to be getting into that for a while still but I'd like to have everything on hand.
Heres my story.
My father picked up the car on Kijiji for $1200 from the original owners brother after the owner passed away. My father lost interest, discouraged because the body wasnt lined up on the frame and he had another project on the go. Sold it to his friend for $1200 who then realized he didn't have the time to take it on and I snagged it from him for $750. Since then I've gotten the body lined up on the Impala frame it was sitting on, put some new hood hinges on it, gutted the interior, cut out the old rotten trunk pan, and am now doing some floor work. It's got a running 350 SBC and the vinyl seats are in great shape. I bought a new carpet and lucked out with all the emblems which were sitting in a box in the trunk. It came with 4 rally rims but only 2 centres, but I picked up 4 Rally II rims from my friend and some rings on kijiji. No recent pictures and I'm not home to take them. Shame is I went back to the guys house to get the 12 bolt rear end that was originally on it but he'd already given it away. I did however get the original front end so I won't have to spend so much to put the disc brakes back on it.
Convertible tops usually available thru your local automobile upholster. Its best to have a professional do the installation . 8-12 hours is not out of the ordinary. Let me know where you are and I may have a recommendation for a shop and a possible supplier. US shipping costs can be exspensive as the glass window is oversize.
Island Auto Glass, Reeves Street in Sidney. Mike Peters is the owner, 902-564-8633. Mike was a good customer of ours and installs convertible tops. Has many years experience.
