I ran into an old friends dad today and he was telling me that with his advancing age, it was time to move off the family farm, near Sarnia Ontario, and get an apartment in the city.
He's an old car guy from way back, who specialized in Model T's. He also used to vend at Barrie and Bothwell for years, but has recently given that up too.
So, he's clearing out his stash/barns/sheds.
He has two 71 Catalina convertibles and a bunch of parts he's like to sell as a package deal. One of them is a rust-free survivor (with a new top ready to be installed) and the other is a parts car, but really could be restored too. Both are 350 2 barrels.
He's asking in the 4000 dollar range for all of it, but is negotiable. I'm sure it could be had for less.
If anyone's interested, I could put you in touch with him, or go get some pictures on a clear day.
Regards, Scott (LandShark ....)

I went to see the cars on the weekend to take some pictures and "talk cars", with my friends dad.
He tells me the solid car (the beige one) has a rebuilt engine, all new brakes and exhaust and it has power windows, steering and brakes. The bumpers and grilles are out, but they're all there to go with the cars. The interior is also in really good shape under the seat covers.
As you can see, there are boxes of extra parts, the new convertible top, a extra windshield, chassis and service manuals etc.etc.
The best part is, he's lowered the price to 3000 for it all (2 cars and all the parts) and will store them until spring, if needed.
He also says, there's a rumour this is one of the cars Bobby Orr owned when new. I spoke with Bobby Orr about this (at a book signing event) and although he wouldn't confirm the rumour, he said he was given so many new cars back when he was playing and sponsoring, that some he never drove or even put in his name. Anyway, fun rumour.
