Update as of Saturday March 18, 2017. I still have not tried to drive yet, i will try in the next few days. The pain is now half as bad but still there. Sleep is just a dream because any position is bad for my knee. I am taking far less drugs now which is fine by me. The thing that kind of scares me at this point, is the lack of movement. I can only move my knee half of its movement and going past there means passing out from pain. At this point i still need a walker device to walk. I see my surgeon this coming Tuesday and at that time i will ask him if i can have M.U.A.. This is a procedure where they knock you out and then force your knee past its limited motion. M., manipulation U., under A., anaesthetic. Then after this procedure there is a rehab time. I am still hanging in there and i do not know what is worse right now, the pain or the boredom. I have now read four automotive books, working on my second model car (1961 Impala SS 409 and 1955 Bel Air coupe), gone through most of my dvd's and cd's. All my friends have been there for me, helping me out any way they can and for that i am very thankful. Trying not to lose my mind Cheers. George

Sorry to hear recovery is taking so long George. Hopefully the doc will do the M.U.A and that get's things moving.
I am sorry as well I have never heard of anyone, who had nothing, but positive results
We have a lady friend in New Brunswick, who had both knees done at same time! I thought she was nuts...my wife went to be with her and she was up and driving in a month
I hope they fix it soon "I'' would be back at hospital and there until they fixed it
Ouch, I feel for you. Get well soon, so you can take out your '57.

I CAN DRIVE !!!!!!! Monday March 20, 2017, the first day of spring and my first day of getting behind the wheel of a car. It felt like an amazing first time experience, after five weeks of not driving at all. What a relief and what a joy, driving my own car after the surgery. Cheers. George

Darryl, i have half the movement of my knee. My only concern to drive was hitting the brake hard and the pain shock wave that would bring my knee area. I seem to be ok and i am just driving extra cautious and aware. Getting in and out of my car makes me look like i just turned 95 years old, nice and slow and easy. I saw my surgeon Tuesday March 21 and he says everything is on course. Had x rays and all is well, my leg and foot swelling is normal at this time after surgery and the limited motion of my knee happens to many that have this surgery. He says if i still have limited motion after three months, then he will do an M.U.A. (manipulation under anaesthetic). Cheers. George
