Had the air conditioning Charged up today.

Charged up with 134A   First charge

Some new photos

The alternator was mounted between the headers and I had to replace it twice as they cracked and also the alternator belt was very long.  Custom built a mount on the side of the engine block then used that as a base to create a much sturdier mount.  There is a bolt in the frame that allows the belt tension to be adjusted.

A nice piece of work..

The reflection on the alternator pulley is the aluminumrad core..

 Sturdy mounting point

Alternator now sits high enough to remove the valve cover without moving the alternator

Compressor pulleys all lined up nicely.

Hey, I am getting the hang of this posting.    Using image resizer and and photo pad to lighten or darken the photos.

Wonder whats next??

Wouldn't the alternator sit more towards the rad ? Don't ever remember my alternator being in the way of the valve covers ?

October 2014 photo with alternator covering portion of the valve cover.

The bar for the adjustment does not allow enough movement to clear the valve covers.
