TACH.............Factory 180 degree swipe, cw with adjustable red line.

I'm not sure exactly which this vehicle this tach fits, It's in my 65 Beaumont at the present time.

I'm fairly sure it came out of  a GTO and should fit any 4 large hole dash. I'm sure more information will

show up on this posting, all comments welcome. The tach is in great great working order as per the picture

was taken with the vehicle running.....Peter 250-558-7963  $200.00DSCN2604.JPG

That's the correct factory tach for your car.

I will buy it off you if you are willing to sell it but I will tell you very honestly, it's foolish to sell it.

I know for certain that my 66 Beaumont instrument cluster is Tempest / GTO, as are the entire Beaumont line. Mine has light indications, no tach and no gauges except for fuel. They are next to impossible to find. Like Carl said, what you have is relatively rare. If I was fortunate enough to have the gauge / tach cluster I'd be cleaning it up, making repairs where necessary and showing it off to everyone that peeked through the window at shows.

In my book, it's a keeper.

If yours was a 66 I'd be buying.

Similar to the tach that's in the white 67 that sold out of Saskatoon recently.

Interesting that ther was a dash tach available for the '67 Beaumont but not the B Body cars. I bought a dash mount "knee knocker" style tach- I guess you could call it for my '67 2+2 but now I'm not 100% sure it is correct for a '67. it is correct for a '66 but I'm not sure about '67. Anybody know? Sorry for the derail!

Mondo, I know for US models that the 67 B-Body cars had the hood tach option like the GTO and Firebird.

Yes. Thanks for that reply. I have seen that the US cars had the hood tach as an option. Even if it was just a dealer installed option.  They look so good that I have been considering using one when I restore my convertible.  Then I bought the dash mount tack thinking it would be more correct. But my limited research has shown that tach was for 1966 models and I'm not sure if it was also a dealer install option  for the Canadian 1967 model year B body cars.  Since my car is a four-speed car, I definitely want a tach of some kind.  If it turns out the dash mount tach  would not have been available straight out of the dealership for my car I may be tempted to go with the hood tach.  In fact I'm pretty familiar with another 1967 Parisienne four-speed car that had a hood tach  on it as far back as anyone can remember.  I've always wondered if that might have been dealer installed even though the car is Canadian and sold out of the dealership in British Columbia?  What did buyers of  brand new full-size Canadian cars equipped with a four-speed transmission do?  Did they just go without a  tachometer? Or did the dealer offer some kind of solution? Either a hood mounted  tachometer or a dash mounted tachometer?

This is for Carl. No you were not the first person to get in touch with me personally , another person called me on the phone, that why my number in the add.

I have a tuff time with this web site and before I sell anything I would have to talk to them by phone or even better in person. Thanks for your interest.
