I know for certain that my 66 Beaumont instrument cluster is Tempest / GTO, as are the entire Beaumont line. Mine has light indications, no tach and no gauges except for fuel. They are next to impossible to find. Like Carl said, what you have is relatively rare. If I was fortunate enough to have the gauge / tach cluster I'd be cleaning it up, making repairs where necessary and showing it off to everyone that peeked through the window at shows.
In my book, it's a keeper.
If yours was a 66 I'd be buying.

Interesting that ther was a dash tach available for the '67 Beaumont but not the B Body cars. I bought a dash mount "knee knocker" style tach- I guess you could call it for my '67 2+2 but now I'm not 100% sure it is correct for a '67. it is correct for a '66 but I'm not sure about '67. Anybody know? Sorry for the derail!
Yes. Thanks for that reply. I have seen that the US cars had the hood tach as an option. Even if it was just a dealer installed option. They look so good that I have been considering using one when I restore my convertible. Then I bought the dash mount tack thinking it would be more correct. But my limited research has shown that tach was for 1966 models and I'm not sure if it was also a dealer install option for the Canadian 1967 model year B body cars. Since my car is a four-speed car, I definitely want a tach of some kind. If it turns out the dash mount tach would not have been available straight out of the dealership for my car I may be tempted to go with the hood tach. In fact I'm pretty familiar with another 1967 Parisienne four-speed car that had a hood tach on it as far back as anyone can remember. I've always wondered if that might have been dealer installed even though the car is Canadian and sold out of the dealership in British Columbia? What did buyers of brand new full-size Canadian cars equipped with a four-speed transmission do? Did they just go without a tachometer? Or did the dealer offer some kind of solution? Either a hood mounted tachometer or a dash mounted tachometer?
