What choices did a buyer of a brand spanking new 1967 Parisienne 2+2 have if they wanted a 4 speed transmission AND (heaven forbid) a Tachometer? I LOVE the hood tach but those seem to be U.S. cars only. The knee knocker style I (should) have pictured below might be correct for 1966 model year but not 1967? I'm hoping somebody can give me a definitive answer. I'm quite familiar with a 1967 2+2 that has had only a few owners and a hood tach in place as far as I can trace back into the '70's. It was bought new out of BC. Could that have possibly been a dealer installed tach? If the tach I bought (shown below) is only correct for 1966- then what options did buyers for 1967 have who wanted to count revs?? I haven't started the restoration yet but I've considered going with a hood tach on my car. Or maybe even painting 2 hoods- one with and one without a hole for the tach, so I can change it if I ever feel I need to. But I'd like to know if anyone can enlighten me a bit on this issue. Thanks.
I suggest getting a hold of an Option Brochure for 67 B-body Pontiac's. It will be for the US Pontiac's, it will also apply to Cdn Pontiacs. BTW, I've never seen a dash mounted tach for the 67 B-bodies. Hood tach yes, dash tach no.
