Hey guys, I stumbled upon this beauty and although I wasnt planning on owning a second Pontiac I feel its too good an opportunity to pass up, plus I love the body style. Its a 1960 Catalina that comes with the original perfect running 389 (presently out of car) an 400 that has a miss (in the car) at hydromatic tranny (original out of car) and a turbo 400 in the car. Interior is really nice, the body and frame is solid with minimal rust for its age and the glass is all good except for windshield (has a crack) and one tail light. I am picking it up Saturday and am paying $3000.00 for it. I have a pic of it years ago and also what it looks like now. Any advice, comments or warnings would be much appreciated from the many experienced minds here.
considering I am buying this I am going to move it to the new rides section, sorry I should have posted it there in the first place, please feel free to delete this thread.
Unfortunately the sale didnt work out. When my dad and I got there it turned out to be a little more work than we estimated we could handle. Tons of potential but because of being exposed to a lot of moisture the car should be stripped down, allowed to dry out, blasted and primed or it will rust out. X Frame was solid, floors good, trunk gone side rocker on drivers side had some rot. really cool looking car if anyone else is interested and is more capable than I let me know and I will pass on the sellers info. BTW motor ran and sounded good except for small miss, probably a valve.

This is why I didn't comment earlier. I looked at your pictures and thought that it was a bit of a time/money pit.
