Just went through the registry.....kinda handy! Pic of dealer installed tach(1 owner car)..no Pontiac (blank). Where could a guy find this tack? Besides ripping it out of inlaws car!!!

Original equipment removed from 1964 Pontiac Parisienne Custom Sport

Part is located in Caledonia Ontario

Thing is, does it work?

I'm in the process of buying it. I was mentioning it to Todd when I saw him yesterday.

Nice guy in his 70s selling it. He owned a '64 Parisienne CS 327/250 hp, 4-speed with posi ... he bought it new in '64. It doesn't exist anymore ... rusted away, but he saved the tach.

Did these tach' use a under hood mounted transmitter to work ? Some of the early sun and Stewart Warner ones did. Just wondering as maybe that's why it does not work.

No, these ones hook up traditionally.

Heck of a deal there. Has the 1 year only mounting bracket also with it. Heck the 64 Bracket is worth the asking. Good for whoever picked it up!

Received the tach. It is MINT, looks NOS. Not one little scratch on it. I'm VERY grateful.

Not sure on the guys math ..? I was getting 900 rpm the ones I tested.  Would also matter on the battery charger? I had to use my real old one, not the new smart one .

Darryl,

Found this picture on http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/64pont9pas.html

(Apparently it's factory mounting holes)

By counting the lines in the dash you should be able to locate the holes perfectly.

Good Luck.
