One thing leads to another. Wasn't going to paint the door jambs but glad I took the extra time to mask off and paint, would have looked a bit odd when you opened the door...old vs new. Clean up the shop and ready to paint the body, just might be a couple of weeks! Christmas staff party in Vancouver next weekend, ferry, room and dinner on the new company! Enjoying myself at work......which makes me a lot more enjoyable at home!
Crappy day in the shop!!! Cleaned the shop, hosed it down, tack clothed the car 4 times! Ended up with some orange peel and dust in the paint......wet sand and re-do!!! Sometime I think the stars are in a popcorn popper!
Looks good from 2500 miles away buddy don't wry about it.

Arm is about to fall off!!! Gotta thank John (StriperSS) for stopping by....gave me a bit of a rest. 75% wet sanded, more tomorrow night. Couple of little painting tips that I do. Floor jack under the diff so you can lower to reach the roof easyer and then raise to get the underside of the rockers which get missed a lot! Also a piece of paper towel in the bottom of the respirator...catches the condensation from breathing. Painted a car once and couldn't figure out how I got water in the paint...was coming out the exhale port of the respirator! Todays progress.

Thanks Jerel. Thought the colour was way off....but when you put the light on it it's close to the orig firewall colour....just newer/fresher I think. Need daylight to really tell.
That looks pretty darn good. Will look mighty fine in the High School parking lot.
Hes itching to drive it to school.....show off! How many 66 Canso's or any 60's car in a school parking lot! Just glad hes not into the zipper cars and appreciates the class and style of the 50's-70's cars.
Great night in the shop! Gave James a short course on the buffing wheel and he went at her. Did a great job on the rear glass trim! Great 1 on 1 time in the shop. We got some shinny stuff on the car tonight.
Looking good buddy,I bet James has a big grin on his face.

I remember when my uncle promised me a forest green Rambler more-door when I was 15 years-old. I was thrilled. Then my parents stepped in and said NO.

Another great day in the shop with James!! He was pumped to get it back together...even went up to the house to make and bring me down lunch. Guess he didn't want me/us stopping! Looking more like a car and thanks to Doug we have some nicer beltline trim going on. Sorry Carl but he sent it to me at no charge........only being nice to him this one time!! Now were even. Still have to muck with the hood a bit.

I was expecting to see this thing out driving around today, with a kid with a big cheesy grin driving it! :)
I did see a 64 4 door Beaumont on a trailer heading out to Sooke today though! Looked to be all there but dirty.
Wow sure don't take you guys long to throw a car back together. Looks great!
Nice having tunes/heat and beer fridge in the shop...was a 1:00 am night with James. Drove her out of the shop today! If James had his way John.... he'd be driving it yesterday! Don't know if he can wait till May to put it on the road.
