Just found a stash of tickets from Mosport, St Jovite, and Harewood Acres, Nassau Speed Weeks

I was cleaning out my closet and there was this large box of stuff.

Nostalgia took over and I went through a couple of binders filled with ticket stubs from many of the races that I attended long ago.

Anyone that you know of who would collect this sort of thing. I am reluctant to toss them out as they I would think are collectible.

Nice items! Ray's got first dibs, but if he is not taking them all, I'd like the 1964 passes.

Now you really started something.   I went searching for the first race.

http://thegarageblog.com/garage/the-first-ever-race-at-mosport/

I was a member of the sports car club and if my memory serves me right, Alan Bunting the engineer who designed the track, was the President of the club.

An interesting read, as I too was a Marshal in the early days.  I had a 2 cars come up the back  straight on the first lap in the Can Am race, on of them got airborne and subsequently spun, coming directly towards me.  The rule of the day was to take 3 steps and see if you are still in danger.  They were pretty quick steps and when I looked back the car was on the other side of the fence..  Whew!!!!
