vin tag location


would anyone have a picture of where exactly vin tag should be located mine was taken off when engine bay was refreshed and also what should I use to attach it

Do you mean the firewall tag (cowl tag)?

The VIN tag is in the door jamb.

its a cowl tag I have to put on car .I know they were special rivots that were put on what can I use now.The tag is sitting in my build binder right now

There are repro cowl tag rivets available from many of the restoration places. VIN tag rivets is a whole different story, those are tough.

Those do look like they would work. His listing stops at '55 models but I can't see why not.

I took a look and realized that we are not looking under the hood of a Beaumont, it is an Acadian. That changes things as to placement. See below for a basically correct 1966 Acadian engine compartment (air cleaner decal should be tossed in favor of a pair of black & gold valve cover decals, plus add the missing finger guard).

Whoops, sorry, yes, I assumed it was the avatar car...

And yes, that looks to be right for an X body car of that era.

Lets see, this is posted in the pre-1958 section, the owner didn't state what car it was for, but his avatar is a 67 Beaumont, and the photo's he's posted looks like an Acadian or Nova.

I wish people would be a little more clear on what car they're talking about when they're asking for help.
