Hi All,  wanting to upgrade my 600 holley carb on my 389, some seals are gone and it's leaking, also would like a little more power, any suggestions?

Look at an Edelbrock 650AVS with electric choke should work well, is tune able. I'm have Edelbrock 500AVS on 350 seems to work well have made some adjustments, starts very nice lots of power. Efi would be nice but costly. The actual unit not bad price ,then electric in tank fuel pump, then timing control all adds up. I will be using the carb for some time. Do you have high out put ignition? How about Platnium spark plugs spiral core spark plug wires,----tune up parts that make a real difference. Laurie

Quick Fuel make a very nice carb, its a knock off Holley, but has some nice improvements over the Holley. I had a small one on a 283, worked great. Uses all Holley parts, so easy to get stuff for tuning.
